Amazement Square’s Special Education Programs will give your students the opportunity to become scientists, artists, engineers, and more! Our hands-on learning experiences are designed to spark creativity and curiosity, encourage student engagement, and enforce learning concepts. Each program is aligned with VESOLs and has been created with input from special education instructors.

The Solar System, Motion and Force, and Gravity
Explore Mars and the night sky as we learn about space exploration. Students will compare Earth and Mars and send rockets into the sky. This program includes 4 in-classroom sessions, including the planetarium as the final visit.

Delve into the works of Henri Matisse as we bring creativity to life. Students will explore colors, shapes, and patterns as they create a paper collage.

Examine the works of Vincent Van Gogh as we create original artwork. Students will explore the use of color and shapes as they share special memories through visual storytelling.

+ Once Upon a Story
Characters, Setting, Sequencing, Engineering, Robotics
Experience the joy of a classic children’s story with a new twist as we enter the world of The True Story of the Three Little Pigs. Students will code robots, build houses, and free A. Wolf as part of an escape room. This blend of literacy and STEM activities will bring the narrative to life as it empowers students to think creatively and enhance their critical thinking skills. This program consists of 3 in-classroom/outreach sessions.
